Yuan Herong is a popular female bodybuilder from China who is also a doctor. She is currently helping people fight with coronavirus and doesn’t forget about workouts as well.
She shared expert’s opinion that the number of infected people will start declining at some point. But the virus will mutate and we are still at great risk. The world needs to focus and can’t afford to make mistakes.
Since the disease originated in Wuhan, China, the number of new infections in this country has been declining. The authorities were able to control the outbreak. But most other nations are not that lucky. Due to various cultural, economic, and political differences there is a wide range of crisis severity in them.
Even with incredible pressure on medical infrastructure and workers, Yuan keeps working out as evident by her last post. That’s a true role model for everyone, and Yuan reminds us that without a healthy body there can’t be healthy spirit in such times of uncertainty.
We have to make note that most gyms across the globe have closed their doors, as well as other public gatherings. Those affected right now can switch to home workout routines.
When asked in Instagram comments how safe it is for her to visit the gym now, she responded: “We have a good control over the spread of the virus in Qingdao. No new cases have been reported for a week. The gymnasium has been opened one after another “
General recommendations for safety during coronavirus outbreak:
- Maintain social distancing, at least 1 meter (3 feet) from other people
- Why? Breathing, speaking, coughing and sneezing all spread out the virus via air
- Wash hands often and for at least 20 seconds each time (only 5% of people do that)
- Don’t touch face with your hands if possible
- Use hand sanitizers and masks
The coronavirus spread disrupted the bodybuilding industry and the world. Arnold Classic South America, Arnold Classic Australia, Arnold Classic Africa and IFBB Pro League Events all had postponed until further notice.
