How To Get A Body Like Sylvester Stallone

While he might not be the same “mega superstar” he was all those years ago, there is one thing you can never take away from Sylvester Stallone and that is the fact that he has one HELL of a body. While many probably remember how lean his body was in the Rocky films or the Rambo films (including the latest ones might I add), what many of you probably forget is how lean and good he still looks now. He has a better 6 pack than Taylor Lautner.

He has more muscle year round then Brad Pitt or many other celebrities. Oh and did I mention he’s 74 now? Yes, he’s 74 years old, and he probably has a better body then you. (Or if you are a girl, a better body than your boyfriend). Isn’t that a bit embarrassing that a 74 year old man can have a better body than 90% of the youth out there today? Hey, let’s not even mention his stamina or strength. Strength wise, I’d go as far as to say stronger than 95% of the youth out there today. But that’s beside the point. The point of this article is to help you get a body similar to Sylvester Stallone’s.

What will this article give you? It’ll give you advice on what his nutrition would look like, the type of training required. But unfortunately we can’t provide you with the hard work. (You need to do that part yourself!) First let’s look at his achievements and why he is an ideal role model for many trainees:

He is one of the only celebrities to be in the BOXING hall of fame at this moment in time.

In fact, I’d go as far as to say you could argue he did more for boxing then Muhammed Ali ever did. What I mean is, while Ali was an amazing boxer, Sylvester Stallone was able to generate millions upon millions of non-boxing fans and turn them into fans and generate large interest into the sport through Hollywood– Something that is no easy feat. Oh and he also has a statue in Philadelphia. It’s of his Rocky character placed permanently near the museum.

A more in depth look at the past shows his history. He was first an astrologer, former dancer, and promoter of women’s wrestling. Stallone’s father was born in Gioia del Colle, Apulia, Italy, and emigrated to the United States as a child. Stallone’s mother is of half Russian, Jewish and half French descent.

Complications his mother suffered during labor forced her obstetricians to use two pairs of forceps during his birth; misuse of these accidentally severed a nerve and caused paralysis in parts of Stallone’s face. As a result, the lower left side of his face is paralyzed – including parts of his lip, tongue, and chin – an accident which has given Stallone his snarling look and slightly slurred speech.

But as with every great individual, he turned a bad thing into a “good” thing and used his slightly slurred speech to pull him into fame and fortune. Now onto the type of training he does. No matter how we’ve seen him, whether it was recently or even 30 years ago, he’s also sported a lean, ripped physique. This is down to the fact that not only does he have a strict diet, he also uses heavy compound movements. He’s a huge fat of ketosis for dieting. He sticks to a lot of meat. Red meat. If he eats chicken, think of chicken thighs, full eggs etc.

He’d do a once weekly carb up, but through the week carbs would be under 30 grams. His weight training would be intense, 4 times per week hitting body parts multiple times. He’d use full body exercises such as: the squat, dead lift, power cleans, bench press, over head press, the jerk, wide grip pullups, close grip pullups, training with gymnastic bands. Cardio would be things such as pulling a heavy sled for 1 minute with a 30 second break, flipping a heavy tire, punch bag slams, using a sledgehammer onto the tire. Then, of course, there’s the constant boxing training he does.

His training is nothing short of intense. He’s known for having short breaks such as 30 seconds, while he’s not one of the strongest guys in the world (he is still strong as hell), his main focus is on holding as much muscle mass as possible while being as LEAN as possible and he does this to tremendous effect. The key to being lean is HIIT which means High Intensity interval Training, and the goal to keep as much muscle mass as possible on such a restricted calorie diet is to eat the most nutrient dense foods while also lifting heavy weights or more importantly heavy COMPOUND lifts.

Now we all know he’s been caught in possession of steroids, but which anabolic steroids do I think he uses? Testosterone enthanate is key. He needs high testosterone levels to build muscle and to stay lean, especially due to his age, he will uses this in a large degree– possibly up to a gram weekly. T-bol He will use this instead of Dianabol, due to the fact it gives you some great strength gains, and LEAN muscle gains, he won’t bloat on it which is something he can’t afford to do.

Anavar Same as above. One of the best steroids for pure strength gains and he’d receive some nice fat burning effects and lean mass for it. Overall a staple in his cycles. HGH He’d run this in moderate doses to restore the levels he once had (alright, he’d go higher than that) and to stay lean and muscular. He wouldn’t touch deca, or tren. Deca (Deca Test cycle) due to its bloating traits, and tren due to its tendency to affect cardio.

Overall Sylvester Stallone is an extremely hard working individual and it doesn’t matter if you like his movies or not, he does deserve a hell of a lot of respect for the amount of work and effort he’s put in. Until next time, I hope you enjoyed our article how to get a body like Sylvester Stallone.
