Turinabol (Tbol), [1] an anabolic androgenic (AAS), is a testosterone derivative. Other names for this steroid include 4-chlorodehydromethyltestosterone, DHCMT, and CDMT.
A majority of AAS’s are administered intramuscularly, but this steroid can also be taken orally.

Turinabol’s History
This product was first created in 1960 to increase bone strength and mass in patients suffering from wasting diseases.
Turinabol was also used in East German sports to increase performance (research suggests that around 10,000 East German athletes received this steroid over the span of two decades). [2][3].
Turinabol production was stopped in the 1990s, when anti-steroid stigma was at it’s highest. The original Jenapharm manufacturer of the steroid was sold to Schering AG in 1996. However, the manufacturing of the drug did not resume.
Turinabol was not manufactured for medical purposes for many decades. This means that it has not been cleared for human use and is not tested for safety or purity.
Chemical Characteristics for Turinabol
Tbol is a modified form of Dianabol (Methandrostenolone); a combination of Dianabol and Clostebol (4-chlorotestosterone).
Although its chemical structure is very similar to Dianabol’s, it is a milder hormone.
Combining the two chemicals reduces the risk of aromatising into estrogen, but it also lowers the overall androgen strength.

What is Turinabol?
Although Tbol is less potent than Dianabol, it still has many benefits without the side effects of steroids that increase oestrogen.

Turinabol Dosage and Cycle Information
Turinabol can be used for two reasons: cutting and bulking.

Increased risk of liver damage
Turinabol, like many anabolic steroids, is hepatotoxic. It can cause liver damage.
Although this does not mean that you will harm your liver by using it, you should avoid this steroid if you don’t have a healthy liver.
It is important to limit alcohol intake and ensure that your periods do not exceed the recommended duration.
Legal Status of Turinabol
Despite Turinabol’s being a Schedule III drug under the Controlled Substances Act, (CSA), it is still available. It is still found in many supplements, particularly over the past few years.
USADA maintains a list of potentially tainted products, at least seven of which contain the banned steroid.
Jon Jones, an MMA fighter, was recently found to have used this drug. This could result in a four-year suspension from the sport. Turinabol, a S1-class substance on the WADA banned list, carries a standard punishment for two years suspension under UFC’s USADA agreement.
Jones was previously positive for Clomiphene or Letrozole. These drugs are often used in “post-cycle therapy,” to reduce side effects from steroid use.
