Asia Grand Prix is one of the most interesting events in the world of bodybuilding. This year the competition was held several days after Olympia event. That didn’t allow some sportsmen like Flex Lewis taking part in both serious competitions this year. The absence of some bodybuilding stars that preferred participating in Olympia was upsetting for some visitors.
However, most bodybuilding fans watched the competition with an aim to see Hadi Choopan. The sportsman had to miss some competitions and important bodybuilding events due to a travel ban. His long-lasting absence made his loyal fans worried if the bodybuilder was still in a good shape and ready for the international competition.
Choopan had to meet some serious opponents from the USA, including David Henry, Jose Raymond, and Shaun Clarida. All of them entered top-five in Men’s 212 category. Except Choopan successful result was also shown by another sportsman from Iran Meysam Keshvari, who became third in the category.
Hadi Choopan demonstrated excellent shape and was very confident during posing. He became this year favorite, taking first place in Men’s 212 category. Many sports critics predicted Choopan’s victory long before the competition. However, bodybuilding society was ready for unexpected surprises after Olympia 2018 where 8-time champion Phil Heath was finally dethroned by the brilliant performance of Shawn Rhoden.
Fans of Choopan were happy to see the sportsman excellently prepared. His privileges were noticeable from the first minutes on Asia Grand Prix stage where he appeared together with his opponents.
