For those The Sims fans that have been playing the series since the early days know that there are multiple expansion packs for the game, like The Sims 2: Open for Business, The Sims 2: Pets, and The Sims 2: Seasons. Word has it that some of these titles may be added to The Sims 4 by Electronic Arts.
There have been multiple requests by players to have several features added to The Sims 4 especially the earlier versions of the game that had different perks to it, like toddlers, university life for student Sims, and even some supernatural elements, all of which made the past games a huge success. The most requested expansions are The Sims 2: Pets, and The Sims 2: Seasons. The possibility of this becoming a reality in future expansion packs was neither confirmed nor denied by SimGuruDaniel. SimGuruDaniel was asked regarding the plans of Electronic Arts to add Pets and Seasons to the DLC for The Sims 4 and he replied “I think so. But what do I know?”
Moreover, there seems to be some groundwork already prepared for the coming of the Pets DLC, since the other expansion pack “The Sims 4 City Living” has introduced rats and other animals into the game, which can be a ground to build the Pets expansion from.
Although there has yet to be an official confirmation about Pets and Seasons being added into the newest version of The Sims, the third expansion pack for the game, The Sims 4 “City Living” is scheduled for release on Nov. 1 for PC and MAC.
