Fans of the Elder Scrolls game franchise have been hoping for either Skyrim 2 or The Elder Scrolls 6. In a recent post in JBH News, it is stated that Bethesda has shot down the possibility of Skyrim 2, now fans want to know if they will be getting a The Elder Scrolls 6 instead. Since Bethesda was evidently busy with developing ‘Skyrim Speical Edition’, it became more likely that the company will not be working on The Elder Scrolls 6 anytime soon.
Regardless of Bethesda’s focus at the time, The Elder Scrolls 6 still has good chances to become a reality especially since it predecessor has sold more than 20 million copies worldwide. The game series is already 20 years old and the fan case is of course, huge. Bethesda should know that those who played and loved ‘The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim’ would most likely transition to The Elder Scrolls 6.
According to Bethesda’s vice president Pete Hines, they want everything they do to be noteworthy. Some definitely have the idea to have a Skyrim 2 instead, however, Hines said that they intend to take The Elder Scrolls 6 to another direction other than that one. Moreover, Todd Howard, a director in Bethesda said that there will be two larger game titles to be released before The Elder Scrolls 6 comes along. It was also mentioned that when The Elder Scrolls 6 is finally released, players will understand why it took a long time to release the sixth Elder Scrolls game. That is saying a lot, fans will definitely expect the game to be extraordinary.
The team at Bethesda has been honest enough to let fans know that they are not working on The Elder Scrolls 6 at the moment, but it will eventually happen as per their tweet.
