Sherlock Season 4 is coming back in town earlier that expected. Back in 2014, fans got the bad news that Sherlock Season 4 won’t be coming until 2017, and it wasn’t clear which month of next year they were referring to on their announcement. Some fans thought that the investigation series wouldn’t be back on the first day of the year. Recently, there was a surprise announcement made on the show’s Titter account and they revealed the air date of Sherlock Season 4 and a new trailer and the names of the first two episodes of the season.
This new announcement was made without any prior hints so it was definitely a huge surprise to the fans of the series. Moreover, there was also a photo posted on their Twitter account that shows Sherlock’s violin and there was even a date stamped on the side of it, it was later confirmed that the day stamped on the violins is season 4’s air date, which happens to be the first day of January.
The first episode of Sherlock Season 4 is entitled ‘The Six Thatchers’ and the second episode is named ‘The Lying Detective’. Steven Morfat, the co-creator of the hit detective series told IGN that this upcoming season may be the show’s last. Another statement was made by Amanda Abbington, the actress who plays Mary, she said that the Sherlock Season 4 will be very dark, there would be a lot of mysteries, twists, and evaluations that would horrify fans.
