Ronda Rousey didn’t comment much on the main UFC fight between McGregor and Nurmagomedov. However, she took a chance to speak about her attitude to a post-fight conflict between the two fighters.
Ronda and her husband Travis Browne gave an interview, commenting on the latest MMA events. Ronda who is the former female champion of UFC and the current WWE Raw champion told she was really disappointed to see the melee after the fight between McGregor and Nurmagomedov.
Ronda said that she was impressed by the fight and by skills of both fighters. However, she thinks that their behavior after the fight was unprofessional.
The fighter told she didn’t like when things like that happened. This could influence the image of MMA, showing it as a disorganized, uncontrolled and dangerous sport. Ronda believes that high-level promotions shall take more care about security and discipline. People should not be sacred visiting MMA events. ‘I want people to feel safe bringing their kids to fights’, – said ex-champion of the UFC female division.
Rousey called the actions of the fighters illegal. She advised UFC to take measures to stop that type of behavior and also to make people who visit UFC events feel safer and better protected. The fighter hoped that such type of behavior would never be common for UFC and other popular promotions.
