Addition of Diane Lane and Greg Kinnear will add different angle to the story.

As earlier declared, the last season will rotate throughout Robin Wright following the firing of the lead male actor, Kevin Spacey and exec producer of the hit show, House Of Cards.
Netflix is filling up the last season cast of House of Cards after Kevin Spacey getting fired.

Oscar nominees Diane Lane and Greg Kinnear have entered the cast of the streaming powerhouse’s first original series. After a months-long abandonment after star and exec producer, Spacey was fired following the sexual wrongdoing charges, production on the eight-episode sixth and final season resumes on Wednesday. Lane and Kinnear will play siblings on House of Cards. Further information about their characters is being kept a secret.

During the closing, Netflix and producers Media Rights Capital rewrote the last season plot to orbit about Robin Wright’s Claire Underwood, wife to Spacey’s Frank. Signing Spacey out of House of Cards isn’t a stretch. In the Michael Dobbs book that inspired the series, Frank dies.

Continuing production on House of Cards begins after the Netflix wrote in its fourth-quarter profits report that it lost $39 million on an “unexpected” charge for “unreleased content we’ve decided not to move forward with,” including a proposed Gore Vidal biopic that was to star Spacey.

Joining Wright, Lane, and Kinnear in the final season of House of Cards are co-stars Michael Kelly, Jayne Atkinson, Patricia Clarkson, Constance Zimmer, Derek Cecil, Campbell Scott and Boris McGiver. (Neve Campbell is not returning.) Exec producers on the final season are Melissa James Gibson, Frank Pugliese, Wright, David Fincher, Joshua Donen, Dana Brunetti, Eric Roth, Michael Dobbs and Andrew Davies.

House of Cards will be Lane’s first series-regular role on TV. Her honors hold Unfaithful, Under the Tuscan Sun, Hollywoodland, Trumbo and A Walk on the Moon. She received an Emmy nomination for her role in the CBS miniseries Lonesome Dove. She’s also guest-starring in Matt Weiner’s upcoming Amazon anthology The Romanoffs. She’s repped by UTA and Weintraub Tobin.

Kinnear, while, numbers As Good as It Gets, Little Miss Sunshine, You’ve Got Mail and the forthcoming Brian Banks, The Red Sea Diving Resort and Strange but True among his honors. On TV, his acknowledgments combine Amazon drama Philip K. Dick’s Electric Dreams and HBO’s Confirmation. He’s with WME and attorney Rick Genow.

A premiere date for the final season of House of Cards has not yet been decided.
