The New York Comic-con last October 8 yielded quite a lot of surprises for fans, including the release of a trailer for the nineties TV favorite, the Power Rangers reboot movie. Lionsgate has released a trailer for the Power Rangers reboot movie and it gives fans a glimpse of what they can expect with the revamped movie. The trailer features a plain old origin story where five high-school students, who are a bit left out from the status quo, gain powers and become the mighty morphin power rangers. The five high-schoolers will be played by RJ Cyler, pop star Becky G, Dacre Montgomery, Naomi Scott and Ludi Lin.
The trailer, however, being promising, did not show fans any of the other cast members, there was a glimpse of the villainess Rita Repulsa played by Elizabeth Banks. Some fans were actually hoping to see the Power Rangers’ mentor Zordon and the actor playing him, Bryan Cranston in the trailer but there was no sign of the latter. Fans will have to wait for the movie to premiere on Match 25 2017.
Moreover, the Ney York Comic-con last October 8 also unleashed a trailer for the War of the Planet of the Apes which was described by Andy Serkis as “the most psychologically intense outing yet”
