Respawn Entertainment’s latest game Titanfall 2 has now been introduced with a new multiplayer footage and the Gamescom 2016 is underway also. The developers of the game have also announced that this game will also be getting to the open tech tests from the 19th of August to the 21st of August and the second is scheduled from the 26th of August to the 28th of August.
According to the CEO and founder of Respawn Entertainment, Vince Zampella, the main reason to which they are doing the MP tech test is so that they satisfy the engineering goals if they stress test their servers and prove that they can be scaled. And also since their server backend is per platform it means that they don’t really need just a single platform to test it on more than one platform can be used for a good sanity check but all of them don’t need to be tested to make sure they are on a good path for launch.
He also mentions that the tech test is only available for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 and the PC’s are excluded. The reason to which is as he explains that one of the reason is the hardware variety and the other is the minimum specification optimization. They are also making changes and tweaks to the renderer and the game and the effects so they have not run the game through the hardware compatibility lab until now to detect what variety of hardware it can handle such as the video cards, CPU’s and etc. And very frankly they are not ready to deal with all this right now and so they are making the game even better. They also have not done enough work on the mon specs on the PC yet so it is not as easy to test it for PC’s as compared to the consoles because of the additional variables and other configurations.
