The new Nintendo NX now has an official name and it is Nintendo Switch! There is also a new trailer released for the new console and it is quite interesting, however, fans are disappointed that the expected release seems to be a bust and that there will be a further delay before the Nintendo Switch comes out.
Dr. Serkan Toto, a Nintendo official has a tweet regarding this much unfortunate delay, the tweet read:
“No trolling intended and take this one with a big grain of salt. But I was told not to expect [an] NX reveal this week. Might be wrong!”
Looking back, the initial launch date for the Nintendo Switch was October 21, 2016, this information came from Nintendo Direct. However, Dr. Serkan Toto has said that the Nintendo Switch is set for discussion in the upcoming Q2 earnings report that will take place next week.

Fans are definitely waiting on the Nintendo Switch and the numerous trailers and teasers aren’t making the wait any more bearable, plus this huge delay, fans are disappointed, to say the least. The new trailer did hint that the release date may be in March 2017, however, there is no confirmed release date or an official announcement regarding the matter.
Some may take the trailer’s hint as a confirmation of the release month, even so, the exact date is still unknown. The long wait may just be bad for the current hype for the Nintendo Switch and eventually tone everything down.
Regarding the marketing campaign of the Nintendo Switch, Reggie Fils-Aime, Nintendo of America’s president had this to say.
“One of the things that we have to do better when we launch the NX [is] we have to do a better job communicating the positioning for the product. We have to do a better job helping people to understand its uniqueness and what that means for the game playing experience.”
