The eyes of the world are on Google since they announced their new flagship phones, the Google Pixel and Pixel XL, especially since they fired a few shots at Apple. Can LG follow suit and create a hype train of their own once they launch LG V20? While Google is taking their time in the spotlight, LG and T-Mobile wait patiently for their turn and hopefully gain a positive welcome once they release their new flagship.
The tech site Android Police, the LG V20 will be launched on October 21 and will be the first to have the Android Nougat Operating System in the United States. Moreover, T-Mobile is behind LG on this one as they will be offering the LG V20 on October 28 onwards, and as a plus for a limited time they will be rewarding owners of the new LG device a pair of Bang & Olufsen BeoPlay H3 headphones that are worth around $149, this will be part of their Un-carrier deal. In order to redeem this reward, customers and new owners of the LG V20 just need to visit Lg.com/v20.
Another report by Android Authority stated that the Lg V20 will be the first ever smartphone to run T-Mobiles LTE AWS-3 spectrum. It seems the launch of the phone is well timed since T-Mobile did announce that the target release date for the licenses are “as early as the end of the year”
Even Bass’ prediction did forecast the arrival of the new flagship phone by October 21, and another prediction is that once the LG V20 comes along, they may just shake Google’s current streak, as the LG V20 is also quite a powerful device.
As for its features, the LG V20 will be a 5.7-inch QHD TFT display phone, with 2.1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor under its hood, plus 4GB or Ram, Quad DAX and 64GB built-in storage and is of course expandable to up to a whopping 2TB via micro SD. The camera equipped on the LG V20 is a16 megapixel rear camera and an 8 megapixel front facing one. As a plus, LG made it so that the battery of the new phone is removable, even though the phone is mostly made of aluminum. However, no details on the phone’s price has been released just yet and according to T-Mobile, the price details will be unveiled on a date closer to the launch itself.
