Jennifer Lopez does not usually have to go to great lengths to get the best hair on any given red carpet event. But at the Billboard Latin Music Awards on Thursday night, she did so by wearing a 50-inch long hair extension.
The famous star, 48, came to the red carpet in Las Vegas with 50 inches long straight blonde hair, which went all the way down till her knee and way past her David Koma’s metallic mini lavender dress. Chris Appleton, J.Lo’s hair stylist shared the details of the star’s long hair on Instagram, by writing “50” okkkrrrrr” and posting a photo of her look for the red carpet event.
She did not tone down her makeup either as J.Lo, who just launched her 70 piece beauty collection along with Inglot, went in for a nude look this time with bronze eyeshadow, created by Scoot Barnes, her makeup artist. Alex Rodriguez, her boyfriend since March 2017 joined J.Lo on the red carpet wearing a white jacket along with matching slacks and khaki boots.
But it would not be a true J.Lo appearance without a performance. Her long hair got all the longer when she came to the stage, nearly sweeping the floor and performed on her debut new single ‘El Anillo’ for the first time. J.Lo wore gold and shimmery bodysuit and wore a jewelled headpiece which matched with the jewels that were all strewn across her body.
J.Lo’s new song raises a speculation of whether she is hinting to her boyfriend about an impending engagement right. The lyrics say, “I have never felt anything this grand/And your wild side drives me crazy/You’ve given me so much that I’ve been thinking/I already have it all, but/When will I get the ring.”
However, Lopez opened up about the song’s lyrics in an interview with Ebro Darden on Beats 1 by saying that she was not trying to rush into anything with Rodriguez. She said, “I’ve done that before. I’m a little bit more grown up now, and I like to let things take their natural course. I know people are going to say that… we are really kind of good for each other and are really having the best time, and our kids love each other and all that.”
She further said that right now the songs she has been coming out with have everything that is going on with women. She said that her next two songs kind of deal with women being treated with respect.
