A recent tweet from Luca Todesco (@qwertyoruiopz), a famous security researcher, has fans excited about the release of iOS 10.0.1 jailbreak tool’s release. The tweet, reading “obligatory Cydia screenshot”, was accompanied by an image of a cracked iPhone 7 running on Apple’s iOS 10.0.1. Todesco has been rumored to have used the Cydia tool’s version 1.1.26 to complete the jailbreak. However, he did not report how he managed to complete the said exploitation.
Several operating system hackers such as Pangu and TaiG are also rumored to be undergoing hacking research to crack Apple’s iOS 10.0.1 to help iPhone users jailbreak the said OS. Pangu has already figured out a way to crack iOS 10, but nothing is known yet of its public release date. People are speculating that the delay may have been caused by the Pangu team trying to add more user-friendly aspects to the tool and added functionality to assure effective usage with as much devices possible.
Apple has not given up on letting these operating system hackers have their way as it has released iOS 10.0.1 and 10.0.2 after the release of 10 to back it up securely. Once Pangu or any other operating system hacker manages to publicly release the iOS 10.0.1 jailbreak tool, they’ll be sure that Apple has Plan B to go alongside it. Forbes has even reported that Apple is aware of it and is trying to remedy the situation that has been going on since the first time hackers have tried to jailbreak their past OS versions.
The new patch after the recent iOS version will definitely fix any glitches that have managed the hackers to work through it.
