Details on the new Huawei Mate 9 were leaked and it showcases that the new flagship phone will have two versions once released. The Perennial tipster Evan Blass was the one responsible for unleashing the details of the phone before its supposed release. According to the new leak, the Huawei Mate 9 will actually have two distinct versions of the flagship, supporting this are the images of the lineup. Basically, the Huawei Mate 9 will be released with a version sporting a regular screen and another with a curved dual edge screen.
The Huawei Mate 9 with a regular screen is internally referred to as Manhattan while the top tier premium version is known as Long Island. As per Bass, there were also a few changes with regard to the release plans of the Huawei Mate 9. Most are under the impression that the new Huawei Mate 9 will launch both versions globally, however, new reports hint that most regions will only have the Manhattan version available, this includes those from the United States. As for the Long Island Huawei Mate 9, it is said to only be available for the Chinese market.
Though Huawei has yet to release any official details regarding their new flagship phone, the specs of the Huawei Mate 9 have already been leaked. The new Huawei Mate 9 will have the Kirin 960 chipset with 4GB of RAM, the other version will flaunt a 6GB RAM. With regard to storage capacity, the regular version will have 64GB and 128GB of built-in storage, the other version will a have 256GB of storage capacity. In terms of display, the Huawei Mate 9 regular version will have a full HD display while the other has a Quad HD Screen. The new Huawei Mate 9 is expected to be out by November 3.
