The winner of the World’s Ultimate Strongman competition shared his plans to try his luck a powerlifting competition, which is scheduled for December 15th. We all know “Thor” has been the strongest man of Europe four times and once, won Arnold Strongman classic.

The meet is called Thor’s Powerlifting Challenge and will be held in Reykjavik, Iceland, in Thor’s hometown. Kirill Sarychev, Russian powerlifting legend is also to participate. And the giant from Iceland will face a dangerous rival, while Sarychev is a real Superman from Russia.

Bjornsson is the owner of great results on the deadlift, bench press, and squat. And we never know what greatest weight he lifts next. However, the bench press could be Thor’s weakest side, while he only shared a “light set” of 473lbs. Four sets and three reps were not enough to be the greatest value.

Recently, Bjornsson squatted 970lbs. easily.

In the last Strongman competition, Hafthor did a great job in a deadlift. And it seems no one can beat him in this discipline. In February 2018, Bjornsson shared a video of his 1.003lbs deadlift.

He owns the elephant bar deadlift record of 1.041 lbs., which he set at 2018 Arnold Strongman Classic.

Watch his really easy deadlift session on the video below, where he almost plays with 726lbs.
