For those who have already gotten their hands on Google’s new flagship phone, may it be the Google Pixel or Pixel XL it would be great to know how to maximize the phone’s capabilities, and here we will show you how to enable Wi-Fi calling in the Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL.

The Google Pixel phones are already available in the United States and those who are planning on getting one for themselves better go to the nearest Google Store before stock runs out. Other options include getting the phone from a carrier like Verizon Wireless. Verizon Wireless will include additional services for those who purchase a Google Pixel or Pixel XL from them such as Wi-Fi Calling and HD Voice but note that these are also possible to obtain if you got your unit from the Google Store.

To turn on your neat new Wi-Fi Calling feature first thing you need to do is go to the Settings app and find the ‘More’ option and there you will find the toggle to enable Wi-Fi Calling.

Another handy feature that comes with the Google Pixel or Pixel XL is the LED notification light, however, new units fresh from the box have this feature disabled. That being said the LED light will not flicker upon receiving anything. Those who have owned a Nexus phone before, in particular, a Nexus 6P or Nexus 5X will find this situation familiar. The LED notification light can be enabled by proceeding to your Settings app, navigate to Notifications. In that window, you should see a gear shaped icon on the top right corner of the display, tap on that and there you can see the Pulse notification light toggle, turn it on and you’re done.
