Eliza Dushku molested, On Saturday the star of TV’s “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” “Angel” and “True Calling,” Eliza Dushku came forward to relate incidents of sexual harassment that she claimed occurred with her while working in the 1994 film “True Lies” as the role of daughter of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jamie Lee Curtis.
Dushku points out many incidents in a post on her Facebook page on Saturday morning that the film’s stunt coordinator Joel Kramer was allegedly involved who built a trust with her and take her alone in his hotel room.
She wrote how he turned down the lights of the room and put the air-conditioning at freezing point**, how he placed her on the bed of the hotel room and suddenly how he went to the washroom and came naked just holding a small towel at his mid-section area.
She also said that Kramer was supposed to be her protector but he was the abuser. She pointed that an injury she had on the set which is may be done intentionally. She also added that he hung her in the open air, from a tower crane, a 25+ stories high office tower.
Kramer said in response to the allegations that these are all manipulated lies. He never tried to molest her sexually. According to him, these are all lies and she’s making all this in her imagination. He always treated her like a daughter.
Eliza wrote that sharing these words, finally calling her abuser’s name publicly gives her a new calm.
James Cameron the writer and director of the “ True Lies,” commend the bravery of the actress.
Cameron attended the Television Critics Assn where he said that he never gave a lot of thought to this particular situation, earlier he just heard about it. But obviously, Eliza is brave for speaking up.
Cameron also said that he didn’t know Kramer that well and he had not worked for him since “True Lies”. He also said that this was happening under there noses but they had no idea about it. It is important for Hollywood to create a safe environment for the people to speak up and they should feel safe and anybody who may try to abuse should know that there is a mechanism to it.
He added there would have been no mercy. Now, he has daughters, there’s really no mercy now.
