Google is observing the Earth Day on 22nd April.

Earth Day, celebrated on 22nd April, it is the anniversary of the origination of the modern environmental movement .The movement took place in 1970.

The level of behavior, lifestyle, subculture in the United States, 1970 was the reason of death of Jimi Hendrix, the last Beatles album, and Simon & Garfunkel’s “Bridge over Troubled Water.” War stormed in Vietnam and pupils nationwide devastatingly opposed it.

Gaylord Nelson the founder of earth day introduced the idea of celebrating a national day. The senator of US from Wisconsin realized if he could infuse that energy with an emerging public consciousness about air and water pollution .After observing the results of the 1969 immense oil spill in Santa Barbara, California .Stimulated by the student anti-war movement. The idea was that it would stimulate the environmental protection in the national political agenda.

The senator introduced the idea of “national teach-in on the environment “on the national media. And won over , Pete McCloskey, to serve as his co-chair, he was a conservative-mind Republican Congressman. He also recruited Denis Hayes as a national coordinator. Hayes hired 85 staff member to promote activities across the nation. The date of 22nd April was certain, as it was between the spring break and final exams.

Earth day is the largest secular observance in the world. Earth day is notable by more than a billion people each year. It is a day of action that changes human behavior and provokes policy changes.

Today, the fight for an unpolluted environment endures with growing urgency. As the effects of climate change become more noticeable every day.

Google has dedicated a doodle for the Earth day as every year. But don’t let the cuteness of doodle distract you from the original subject and message. World Health Organization exclaimed. That environmental changes are currently risking the death of 1.7 million under the age of five years each year. And according to the research the ice sheets are melting at alarming situations.

Says Google doodler Sophie Diao.”I did a lot of research into coral bleaching for the doodle, and it surprised and saddened me that these underwater ecosystems were so fragile.” says Google doodler Sophie Diao. “I also learned how everything is interconnected, so the rising temperatures in the sea lead to all kinds of effects beyond just melting ice caps.”

she says “I wanted to focus the Doodle on what an individual contributor can do for the environment.” says Diao. “There’s a lot of distressing news about changes to our ecosystems. but it can be hard to know how to help as just one person. That’s why I wanted to create a story about individuals coming together to do something about it.”

In 2020 we will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first earth day. But to honor this revolutionary moment Earth day. Its Network is introducing aspiring goals in order to mold the future of 21st century environmentalism.

Beside the proposed budget to Environmental protection Agency & NASA’s Earth science division by President Trump, the contribution of individuals and group may matter more than it was needed before.
