The release date for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is inching closer and closer and sometimes you can just feel that it’s already here. Well, that may just be because the beta version is already being played by a select few. This allowed researchers to gather some facts about the game, like noticeable improvements in gameplay as compared to the predecessor. Note that the beta will start on October 14 and the final release will be on October 25 for North America, October 28 for Europe and Japan on November 2.

As per Heavy, there are quite numerous fresh enhancements implemented to the sequel game and some hints as well as to what to expect when you start to play the game.

First off, the player will be entering a new world hub called Conton City which is reportedly seven times larger than Toki Toki City. The latter can support up to 300 players at the same time. There are even some areas where players can fly to get to certain parts of the city. Note that character creation is back and more complex. There are five races the player can choose from and each race has a specific stat advantage, there is also an option to select gender which will also surprisingly affect stats.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 beta proved that the game will have more familiar characters in the game as most players may recognize them from the series. There is one new character, though, Black Goku which is only available for those who pre-ordered the game.

The online multiplayer mode is also back with missions that are a whole lot tougher with bigger bosses. A maximum of six players can team up to work together and take that bad boy down.

As a final tip before you go and blindly buy the game, make an effort to purchase a variety of the game that has a bonus. Players who pre-order the game will get access to the pre-order bonuses plus two special DLC pack while purchasing the game from GameStop will grace the player with a special Super Saiyan Goku keychain and lastly the Amazon Pre-order for the Day One Edition will reward the player with a free Dragon Ball Z Vol. 1 Comixology digital code.
