If you are spending a handful amount of your income to buy good quality workout clothes, then it is your responsibility to undertake best care practices in order to preserve them for a longer time. The first tip here is washing your workout gear right after the session to get rid of the sweat and odor. There is nothing more annoying than realising that the favourite leggings or track pants you own smell awful even after you washed them well according to you. So to prevent such a thing from happening, you can start following the below mentioned six tips:

·         Avoid leaving the clothes unwashed for a long period:

The more delay you do in washing your gear, the more difficult it will become for you to get rid of the odors. As said above, wash the clothes immediately right after the session to get rid of the sweat and odor, instead of waiting too long, particularly if the clothes are drenched with sweat.

·         Let the sweat dry off from the clothes:

Before you add the dirty and sweat clothes to your pile of other dirty laundry clothes, ensure that you dry them properly as this will prevent the bacteria which cause odor to spread across the other clothes in the pile.

·         Use white vinegar:

Before you actually wash the soiled gym clothes in the laundry, you can pre-soak them in cold water and white vinegar for atleast 15 minutes as this will kill the bacteria and also remove odors.

·         Use enough of laundry detergent:

Do not use too much or too less of detergent. Instead, use the laundry detergent in the right amount to clean and get rid of the smell from the clothes. Using a lot of detergent can actually result in development of bacteria which cause odor.
