A Treat for Borderlands 3 Players

Players of Borderlands 3 are in for a neat treat this October as Microsoft is offering a great deal. Xbox One owners are offered Borderlands: The Handsome Collection for free in the Microsoft Store.

Collection Content

The free offer for Xbox One players means that they will get the Borderlands: The Handsome Collection. This collection includes Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel and Borderlands 2. This offer is actually part of the all-access weekend event which allows gaming without an Xbox Live subscription.

Borderlands 3 Release Date

This free offer is a great opportunity for those who are waiting on the release of Borderlands 3. You can expect the game to be available by 2018, but keep in mind that the development team has yet to set an approximate release date for Borderlands 3.

If you remember, it was announced last April by Gearbox that the game will be released eventually, that is enough to confirm that the game will push through, it’s just a matter of when it will be up for grabs.

It is also worth mention to the fans of Borderlands 3 that the name of the game could change according to Randy Pitchford. Pitchford is the Software CEO at Gearbox and he says that the development team isn’t sure if the game should be called Borderlands 3. Moreover, Scott Kester, an art director is also on board the development team for Borderlands 3. Those familiar with Kester’s work would feel certain that their wait won’t be in vain in terms of aesthetics.

More offers

It seems that Microsoft isn’t done with the offers they want to give out. By all means keep them coming! Microsoft is giving more that $100 worth of gameplay time for their loyal players. This includes level upgrades, campaign add-ons and character packs. Looking back, this event confirms how James Lopez answered fan questions about the game on the last October 28 Borderlands event.
