The Conjuring 2 Movie Review: Story, Star Cast, Trailer, Release Date


After the overwhelming success of ‘The Conjuring’, The ‘Furious 7’ originator, James Wan, is all set to release its sequel, The Conjuring2, on June 10th this year. This Warner Brothers film is featuring, another challenging and horrifying case to solve by the previous secret snoopers, Ed and Lorraine Warren.


Vera Farmiga from Up in the Air with Patrick Wilson from the Insidious films, completely submerged into the characters of Lorraine and Ed Warren, .These characters are assigned to solve the most terrifying paranormal mystery. To resolve the issue they travel to North London where they help a single mother with four children in a house occupied by malevolent creatures.

The hope is all allied to the success of the conjuring2, as the previous display, ‘The Conjuring’, generated the largest opening ever for a genetically horror movie. The film made more than $319 million worldwide and still remains the second-highest grossing horror movie of all time, after The Exorcist.

The Plot:

1977,Northern suburb of London, England, is the setting of the story where a divorced single mother Margaret Hodgson lived with her four children, with age group approximately seven to 13. They were living happily in their house but soon some out of the ordinary circumstances initiate. The conventional spooky scenes with shaking beds, moving drawers and obscured sounds reverberate in the home. The swirling Lego and other activities are all well drawn to bring absolute terror in the movie.
The kids are also terrified at school and the case become worse when the eleven-year-old Janet becomes the hub of the spirit’s attention. Ed and Lorraine Warren are one of those investigators who visit Margaret’s home to solve the issue and later they take the responsibility to save the family from those ghosts.


The official trailer was released in January with all those scary scenes and mystifying moments. In conjuring 2, Frances O’Connor plays the single mom, with Madison Wolfe, Lauren Esposito, Patrick McAuley and Benjamin Haigh as her children; The screenplay is by Chad Hayes & Carey W. Hayes & James Wan and David Leslie Johnson, The story is created by Chad Hayes.Carey Hayes and James Wan.
