Queens Elizabeth ll husband, Prince Philips will resign from the imperial responsibilities in the end of this year. The official Buckingham palace announcement came on Thursday.

Prince Philips is born in 10th June, 192. He was born in a royal family to the prince Andrew of Greece and Denmark & princess Alice of Battenberg. The Greece kingdom came to an end when Prince Phillips was a toddler and his family bolted from the country.

The statement was out after the association of the royal staff was called to a meeting in London on Thursday. The situation that moved people was about the health of the queen and her husband. Many News Television Channels teams headed towards the royal palace in Buckingham early in the morning. One of the report claimed in an article that the Prince Philips had died the post was later taken down.

“His Royal Highness the Prince Philips has decided that he will no longer carry out public engagements from the autumn of this year. In taking this decision, the duke has the full support of the queen,” Buckingham Palace said in an official statement.

According to the reports the Duke Prince will attend the engagements which are previously scheduled till this August whether alone or with the queen. After that Prince Philips will not be accepting new invitations for meetings etc, though he may attend some specific public events in different times.

The Prince Phillips is patron, member or president of more than 780 different organizations,  Whereas, he will not be attending the meetings and engagements actively.

According to the Buckingham palace officials,

“Her Majesty will continue to carry out a full programme of official engagements with the support of members of the Royal Family.”

Prince Phillips is well known for his controversial comments. In a visit to Canada in 1976. He said,

“We don’t come here for our health. We can think of other ways of enjoying ourselves.”

Philips made this comment when he was considering stress counseling for servicemen.

“We didn’t have counselors rushing around every time somebody let off a gun. You just got on with it!”

“will tell me something I don’t want to hear and doesn’t care if I get upset about it. He knows it is the right thing to say.”

The Duke of Edinburg is the longest serving partner of any British ruler. Both the Queen and the Prince Philips have crossed 70 years of their life together. The Prince is a force of constant supporter of change in the royal family. He said to be the one who endorsed and encouraged the Queen to hold a modern kingdom. In 1997, in a speech, when both were celebrating 50 years of their marriage, The Queen praised Philips and said “has, quite simply, been my strength and stay all these years, and I, and his whole family, and this and many other countries, owe him a debt greater than he would ever claim or we shall ever know.”
