The official declaration from the Google authorities on the new operating system i.e. Android 6.0 Marshmallow and the list of smartphones that would receive the update facility was probably the most awaited news of the year. Almost a month ago, it was announced by the company’s officials that Android 6.0 Marshmallow update would be made available for Nexus 5, Nexus 6, Nexus 7, and Nexus 9 within a week. However, still after one month of the official declaration, the unlucky users who are operating the respective smartphones fail to receive the update.
Since Google Lollipop, Google has decided to only releases one incremental update pear year and thus in many ways would give sufficient time to developing team to work really hard for the new edition.
As far as the strategy of the Android operating systems is concerned, the method followed by the Android is unique. In the first phase, the update is made familiar to the public. In the second phase, the update gets through testing phase for a few months as Developer Preview. In the final phase, the update is finally made available for download. The purpose of undergoing this whole process is that the flaws that sometimes emerge in the operating system are removed prior to global release.
The news was also something to get zealous of for the Nexus users because it was announced by the Google that Nexus Nexus 5, Nexus 6, Nexus 7 and Nexus 9 will be the first to get the new update.
The coolest thing about the Marshmallow update for Nexus line-up is that the users would enjoy the newest features in the granular app permissions system. By using this system, the users would allow apps to ask for permissions only when they need to access them.
So far, the update is going viral, still we have to wait for a while as to this update receive high acclaim or not.
