Choosing a new phone to buy in 2016 ultimately leaves you with two choices, either for an Apple phone, or an Android phone with a lot of brands to choose from. This year, there is a new brand in the Android market today, Google Pixel XL vs. iPhone 7 Plus, which is the better premium phablet?
Since the recent release of Apple’s new flagship phones, the iPhone 7 Plus seems to be the favorite, while the new Android phone solely created by Google has a phone that may be on par with the Apple flagship phablet, the Google Pixel XL.
Google announced their new flagship phones on the October 4 event, and it is known that you can get your hands on the Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL by October 20. It is a huge plus that these phones will be the first to arrive with the Google Assistant and the latest version of Android Nougat.
In terms of hardware comparison, both the iPhone 7 Plus and the Google Pixel CL have 5.5-inch screens, however, the Google phone is offering a resolution of 1440p while Apple only has 1080p. Pixel XL also bests the iPhone 7 Plus in terms of random access memory, whereas it has 4GB of RAM while the latter only has 3GB to offer.
Both phones have the fingerprint scanner feature for added security, the only difference is that the iPhone 7 Plus has theirs on the front of the phone while the Pixel XL has it at the back.
The two flagship phones definitely have a lot in common, with the exemption of the missing 3.5mm headphone jack. Another similarity is the virtual assistant feature, Apple has Siri while Google has the Google Assistant and both a have a lot to offer, you can even pay through them by using your fingerprint for verification. There even some similar core applications. Google Duo is similar to FaceTime. As for the camera, the iPhone 7 Plus does come with Sapphire glass and is known to take good quality pictures, but recent reports show that the Google Pixel’s camera may be the best camera equipped on a smartphone to date.
