Fans of the Gears of War video-game series are already excited for the upcoming movie adaptation of their favorite video game by Coalition. More good news for the Gears of War Movie is that it will be a collaboration that Microsoft and Universal Studies will be participating in.
Though for the mean time, there is very little details about the Gears of War Movie except fact that Scott Stuber will be producing it alongside Dylan Clark. Stuber is known for his previous pieces Ted, Ted 2 and Central Intelligence, while Clark is known for his work in Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, and War of the Planet of the Apes.
The storyline and concept of Gears of War Movie are still in the works and being polished, according to Clark, they are still unsure whether or not the movie adaptation of the video game will have a fresh story and materials, or if it will totally be based on the video game.
Business Insider has shared their thoughts on the matter as well, saying that the Gears of War Movie will be using the concepts, the plots and the characters from the game but it will be with a twist in order to bring the audience something fresh, yet familiar to chew on.
During the New York Comic-con last October 8, Clark shared with IGN that the Gears of War Movie is still in the “early days of exploration” So fans, expect that it is going to be awhile before we see our favorite game on the big screens.
