Can you believe that the television series “friends”, ended after 10 seasons on this date in 2004?
Friends was first on air in 1994 and rapidly became fans favourite. The show featured six friends,” Courtney Cox as Monica Geller, Matthew Perry as Chandler Bing, Matt LeBlanc as Joey Tribbiani, David Schwimmer as Ross Geller, Jennifer Aniston as Rachel Green , and Lisa Kudrow as Phoebe Buffay. It revolves around the daily lives of these six friends. The show is depicting the lives in New York City. The series included 10 seasons and concluded with a very emotional finale which revealed six friends putting their keys on the counter of a flat and leaving for Central perk for a cup of coffee.
The finale was all about gathering the loose ends of the story excluding joey, which was later telecasted in a spinoff of Friends with a title Joey. One fan was having a mysterious suggestion of an alternating end for the series. If you remember, Phoebe seemed to be the cranky among the friends, as she was not having any previous connection with other five roles. She is mostly seen talking about her struggle in childhood, and living on streets after her father left and mother suicides. Phoebe was alone and had no other relation without her twin sister named, Ursula and brother Frank Buffay. And without both of them she had no one else in the city.
A twitter user tweeted a very reasonable but a bit stressing suggestion for the way the series should have ended. According Strnks, Phoebe was homeless and meth addict that lives near Central Perk in all the seasons. Phoebe used to watched the group of five friends from the window of the coffee shop. And used to imagine the stories of the lives of these friends. None of the names of friends were same as she used to imagine and they only knew Phoebe as a crazy mistress watching them drink coffee.
“All 10 seasons were merely her fevered imagination,” @strnks wrote, “projecting herself into the lives of the others. All she ever wanted was… Friends.” Here is Strnks full alternate ending in the tweet..

In an interview, Strnks explained how he came up with the idea for the alternate ending.
“Me, my girlfriend and our flatmate had been watching Friends all Sunday afternoon,” he said. “Over dinner we were saying how Friends is basically the story of Rachel Green. Then we started talking about the different big themes across the show and I thought it would be hilarious if there was a ‘big reveal’ ending that tied it all together.
“The ‘It was all a dream’ thing is such a cheesy trope, so I thought it would be funny if there was that kind of finale. It was a very tongue-in-cheek idea, one of those ‘It all makes sense!’ stupid realizations that you could give Friends a really depressing ending.”
Strnks agrees that Phoebe was his least fave role in the season, so that could have had a lot to do with him generating her disastrous substitute life story.
“Phoebe is the worst. Maybe I wanted revenge on her!” he said
and if you are wondering will there be a new season of Friends here is the news for you.
