Friday The 13th: The Game is already being developed by Illfonic and Gun Media, the survival game will, of course, be set in the iconic Camp Crystal Lake. The game is said to be able to cater up to eight players per match.
The developer of the survival horror game had this to say to GameSpot “It’s a classic horror fan’s dream, no shaky cam, no found footage. We want you to know we’re revitalizing the golden era of slashers, and putting you at the controls of each horrific, blood-splattered moment” Well, if that doesn’t reel in hack and slash fans, we don’t know what will.
As mentioned earlier, there can be up to eight people in every match in Friday The 13th: The Game, one of the players will play Jason Voorhees while the other seven can be any of the following camp counselors – Kenny Riedell, Brandon “Buggzy” Wilson, The Preppy Guy, Adam Palomino, The Girl Next Door, Deborah Kim, The Athletic Girl, A.J. Mason, The Flirty Girl and The Nerdy Guy, they will, of course, be the victim of the lucky guy who gets to play Jason.
Like in the movies, the victims will work together to survive the night, or even plan and strategize a way to defeat the hockey mask-clad murderer. The same is the objective of the Friday The 13th: The Game.
The developers further gave details on this on their Kickstarter page. “While Jason can be an immensely daunting, seemingly unstoppable force, he is able to be brought down with an ‘epic’ win condition. It’ll be difficult, require some teamwork, and perhaps a bit of ingenuity, but we’ll be giving you the tools and opportunities to realize the biggest win in horror gaming.”
As for the release date of the Friday The 13th: The Game it is said to be released in Autumn/Fall 2016 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Check out the game trailer below!
