David Henrie‘s wedding to Maria Cahill was a true Wizards of Waverly Place reunion!
Wizards of Waverly Place’s David Henrie wedded former beauty queen Maria Cahill. This Friday as his co-stars, including Selena Gomez, Jake T. Austin, Jennifer Stone and Maria Canals-Barrera watched on.
The 27-year-old actor and the 26-year-old former Miss Delaware. The teacher vow the knot in an Old Hollywood-inspired ceremony in Southern California.
On firday, 21st April, 2017 the couple said ‘I do’ in front of 170 guests they invited. They were sharing their first dance. They selected the dance sounds of Michael Bublé’s Hold On. all of his Wizards cast mates were there.
The co-stars Gomez, 24, and David Henrie last united in January for the “Kill ‘Em with Kindness” singer’s first Instagram story. David Henerie and Gomez played siblings beside Austin, 22, who played their youngest brother.
The couple exchanged traditional wedding vows and Maria opted for an A-line, full-length gown by Enzoani featuring beaded Alencon and Chantilly lace.
Before heading towards the aisle, the How I Met Your Mother star said: ‘You always hear you should marry your best friend, and I actually get to do it. You don’t meet girls like her every day.’
Maria said she could not wait to say ‘I do’: ‘One of my favorite things about him is how funny he is and how we just get each other. Being married is going to be just that much better.’
Maria told People she kept her attire a surprise from his husband: “One of the only things I really pictured about my wedding was the moment when the doors open and my husband sees me for the first time.
‘He knows nothing about my dress.
‘I liked the Grace Kelly vibe growing up, so I went in with a plan. It resulted in me picking out my dress the first day I tried it on!”
David Henrie wore a traditionional tuxedo. He was honoring his father by wearing a white bow.
‘David Henrie clarified that he knew Cahill was The One from their first meeting.
“I knew Maria was special from the moment I saw her.” He said in the statement. “Now, almost three years later, it’s almost surreal that we’re finally getting married. We’re so blessed to be surrounded by our family and friends. To celebrate this special day and I can’t wait to start this next adventure with my best friend and soul mate.”
The Disney star announced the pair’s engagement this past January. Telling fans that he initially wasn’t sure whether he wanted to make a big announcement.
“I always debated keeping my personal life private or public, but you guys have meant so much to me over the years, I just have to share my JOY :),” he captioned a black-and-white Instagram picture of the pair. “#marriage is beautiful. I cannot wait.”
