The 2016 season will not start for both Buffalo Bills vs Baltimore Ravens until September 11th, but in the meantime, we are going to observe the Ravens.
Following are some obvious free agent additions made by the team:
- DB Eric Weddle
- WR Mike Wallace
- TE Benjamin Watson
Following are some players that have departed from the team:
- OT Eugene Monroe
- OG Kelechi Osemele
- QB Matt Schaub
- OLB Courtney Upshaw
There have not been made any trades in the offseason so far.
Following are the draft picks that are expected to contribute as rookies this season:
- 1st round (6th overall) OT Ronnie Stanley – The moment Eugene Monroe was cut, everyone knew that the Ravens completely trust the young and energetic player to become a blindside blocker
- 2nd round (42nd overall) LB Kamalei Correa – It is not yet clear as to what position will Kamalei Correa play at because the Raven seem to be testing the notoriously fast Correa at both inside & outside positions. No matter what, you can bet that Correa is a necessity for the team.
- 4th round (134th overall) RB Kenneth Dixon – Dixon is expected to become the starter, eventually. But not by the season opener.
The biggest off season addition is Eric Weddle – There is no doubt that Eric who acts as safety is the most significant addition is the team. You will see Eric ground the secondary and make the Ravens defense superb like before.
Biggest story line heading into training camp was none other than “Health” – Baltimore suffered defeats to starting OLB, QB, RB, WR, WR, TE, LT and many other second-string role players in the year 2015.
The under-the-radar story line heading into training camp was Dennis Pitta’s return – We are calling this story under-the-radar because we have already heard this story twice, and now it is less notable now..
