Radeon Software Crimson Edition 16.10.1 drivers have been officially released by AMD, and it will have everything a player may need to play Gears of War 4 and Mafia 3, plus it will also come with some minor fixes here and there, overall providing users a better experience.
The release notes from AMD that were published recently, states that the Radeon Software Crimson Edition 16.10.1 drivers’ reason for release is mainly to bring an optimal gaming experience specifically for Microsoft’s Gears of War 4 which is set to launch on October 11th and Mafia 3 by 2K games which will launch at an early date on October 7th. That being said, the driver update is in preparation for these two new games and to assure that fans are getting the most support for their hardware.
Moreover, the Radeon Software Crimson Edition 16.10.1 drivers will also be gracing users with the new DirectX 11 Crossfire profile for Shadow Warrior 2.
Speaking of minor fixes, a few of which that will be fixed by the Radeon Software Crimson Edition 16.10.1 drivers, is the issues with flickering in games like Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, Battlefield 1, Paragon and Overwatch. Issues with random FPD drops in The Crew or Power limit settings issue in Radeon Wattman were also fixed.
The new Radeon Software Crimson Edition 16.10.1 drivers are available for Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10, supporting both 32-bit and 64-bit and all AMD Radeon Graphics cards included in the HD 7900/7700 series.
